ACS Membership Application
After passing CS Professional and completing training, apply for ACS (Associate Company Secretary) membership with ICSI.
To apply for ACS membership with ICSI:
1. Pass all 3 modules of CS Professional (9 papers)
2. Complete 21 months of ICSI-approved practical training
3. Complete MSOP (Management Skills Orientation Programme) — 15 days
4. Submit the ACS membership application on ICSI SSP portal with required documents
5. Pay the membership fee
All conditions must be met before applying.
A COP (Certificate of Practice) allows a Company Secretary to practice independently as a Practising Company Secretary (PCS) — signing secretarial audit reports, issuing certificates under the Companies Act, and offering professional services. COP is obtained from ICSI after 2 years of post-qualification experience or membership. CSs employed in companies do not need a COP.
↗ ICSIAn ACS can apply for FCS (Fellow Company Secretary) after 5 continuous years of ACS membership and meeting ICSI's experience criteria. The upgrade application is submitted through the ICSI SSP portal.
