Passing Criteria & Exemptions

To pass each module of CS Professional: (1) at least 40% in each paper within the module, AND (2) at least 50% aggregate across all 3 papers of the module. Both conditions must be met per module.

If you score 60% or more in any paper while failing the module overall, you receive a paper exemption for that paper. Exemptions are valid for 3 subsequent attempts. In future attempts, you appear only in non-exempted papers of the failed module.

ICSI periodically grants exemptions to qualified CAs in certain CS Professional papers. Check the latest ICSI notification on icsi.edu.in for current exemption details applicable to CAs under the New Syllabus 2022.
