Eligibility & Admission
ACCA is open to students of virtually any age or background. The standard entry route requires Class 12 (or equivalent). Graduates with accounting qualifications may qualify for exemptions.
The standard entry requirement for ACCA is: 2 A-levels and 3 GCSEs (UK equivalent) — in India, this means Class 12 (10+2) pass from any recognised board in 5 subjects (including Maths or Accounts). Age requirement: at least 18. ACCA also has an accessible Foundation-in-Accountancy (FIA) route for students who do not yet meet the standard entry requirement.

Students who have passed Class 12 (10+2) in India with at least 65% in English and Maths/Accounts, and 50% in 3 other subjects (or an equivalent combination), are eligible for the standard ACCA entry route. Students who do not meet this requirement can enter via ACCA's Foundation in Accountancy (FIA) programme.
No specific age limit. ACCA is open to students 18 and above. However, some ACCA tuition providers may have their own age policies for classroom programmes. There is no upper age limit.
No. ACCA is open to students from any Class 12 stream — Commerce, Science, Arts, or Vocational. Accounting/Maths background is helpful for certain papers but is not a mandatory condition for ACCA registration.
