Membership & ACMA/FCMA Application

After passing CMA Final and completing 15 months practical training, apply for ACMA (Associate Cost & Management Accountant) membership with ICMAI.

To become an ACMA (Associate Cost & Management Accountant):
1. Pass both groups of CMA Final
2. Complete 15 months of approved practical training
3. Submit membership application on ICMAI portal
4. Pay annual membership fee

All conditions must be met at the time of application.

An ACMA can apply for FCMA (Fellow Cost and Management Accountant) after completing 5 continuous years of ACMA membership and meeting ICMAI's experience and practice criteria. Apply through the ICMAI portal.

Yes. A practicing CMA holding a Certificate of Practice (COP) from ICMAI can conduct and sign Cost Audit reports under Section 148 of the Companies Act 2013. COP is required for CMAs in independent practice.
