ACCA Taxation (TX/F6) has country variants. Indian students take TX-IN (India), which covers: Indian Income Tax (direct taxes under the Income Tax Act 1961), GST (Goods and Services Tax), and related provisions. The TX-IN syllabus is updated annually to reflect current Indian tax laws effective for that exam year.
ACCA TX-IN syllabus is based on the Finance Act applicable at the start of the academic year (1 September). For example, for June/December 2025 exams, the Finance Act 2024 applies. GST amendments notified up to a set date (typically 30 June) are also included. ACCA publishes the exact tax year and act version in the exam resources.
↗ ACCAYes. ACCA students in India can choose any country variant of TX. However, the India variant (TX-IN) is most relevant for a career in India. If planning to work in the UK or another jurisdiction, take that country's variant. You can only sit one country variant per attempt.
