Passing Criteria & Retake Rules
All ACCA Applied Skills papers require 50% to pass. They are session-based CBEs held in March, June, September, and December.
50% for each paper. No aggregate requirement — each paper is independent. Papers must each be passed; passing some does not compensate for failing others. You cannot carry marks across papers.
No. ACCA does not limit the number of retakes per paper. However, there is a 4-session waiting rule: if you fail a paper, you cannot resit it in the immediately following session. You must wait for the next available session window. The wait is approximately 3 months.
Yes, with conditions. ACCA allows deferrals if requested before the exam entry closing date. A deferral fee may apply. You can move to the next available session. Check the deferral deadline for your session on acca.in.
