Registration Process & Cut-off Dates

Visit the ICAI SSP portal (eicai.org). Click "New Registration" → "CA Foundation". Fill in personal, academic, and contact details. Upload required documents (Class 10 and 12 marksheets, photograph, signature). Pay the registration fee online. ICAI will send your registration number to your email after approval.

To appear in the May session, students must register by 31st December of the previous year. This ensures the mandatory 4-month study period (with possible relaxation) is met. ICAI may revise this cut-off — always verify on the SSP portal or official ICAI notification.

For the November session, the registration cut-off is typically 30th June. Students must register by this date to satisfy the study period requirement before the November exams. Check the official ICAI notification for exact dates each year.

The CA Foundation registration fee (New Scheme 2023) is ₹9,000 for Indian students and USD 400 for overseas students. This includes the registration fee, study material fee, and student journal subscription. The fee is paid online and is non-refundable. Verify the exact current fee on the ICAI SSP portal.

CA Foundation registration is valid for 3 years from the date of registration. If you are unable to clear all 4 papers within 3 years, you must re-register. Exemptions for individual papers scored 60%+ carry forward within the validity period.
