The Scale of CS Professional
CS Professional is the final and most demanding tier of the Company Secretary qualification. It consists of 9 papers across 3 modules — and unlike CS Executive, all modules must be cleared (though they can be attempted separately). Module 3 requires you to choose one elective subject. This is a significant decision that most students make based on what they have "heard is easier" rather than genuine assessment. The right basis for this decision:

- Banking Law: Best if your CS practice or career is likely in financial services or banking sector companies
- Insolvency: Best if you plan to register as an Insolvency Professional — directly relevant, and the IP credential is increasingly valuable
- FEMA: Best if your company deals with international transactions, FDI, or ECB — high practical relevance in MNC environments
- Intellectual Property: Best for CS professionals in pharmaceutical, technology, or creative sector companies
The Module Attempt Strategy
CS Professional allows module-wise attempts. The question is whether to attempt one, two, or three modules together.
